Really. They're all done up in their finery, love is in the air, and there's music playing and Champagne flowing.

The fine Champagn is the best part of the whole thing!

It's mind boggling to me on why anyone would want to bring someone to an event like this that you hardly know.

Don't you like yourself enough to go alone?

I went to a wedding last month and I couldn't wait to get out of there. I didn't want to go in the first place. Call it family obligation. Not that it really mattered but I think I was the only one single and there were a lot of people there. I wouldn't even consider bringing anyone unless we were a seeing each other for at least a year.

Forget about getting a date. You could hook up with single women at the wedding.

Here's the thing about weddings: no one really remembers them in great detail after the fact. Yeah, they will remember the bride was beautiful, the flower girl picked her nose, the mother of the groom and father of the bride got schnockered-all things that are directly related to the bride and groom. You know, the ones the day is actually about. I'm pretty sure if I called any of my friends right now and asked how many of their guests remember I was there without a date the answer would be "um, zero" or depending on how much of a blur the wedding was "I thought you had a date to my wedding."
