I don't see anything wrong with him being upfront and telling you about the coupon. My major concern would be him not wanting to say what he does for a living.
The fact that he won't mention his occupation is red flags. Every time I have met a guy who refused to mention what he did was hiding something (usually no job or underemployed). I don't think the coupon is a big deal unless it is somewhere like a fast food chain and he tells you what you can buy.

Not sure why they couldn't just LIE about what they did. It wasn't like the female would come to his job
I'm going on a second date with a guy this weekend. Today he says he has a coupon for a restaurant he wants to take me to. I'm all about coupons and saving money, but why would you share that with your date? Is he testing me to see if I'm a gold digger? Thoughts? Ladies, would you date a guy who did this?
LOL. Ya. I dated a guy for 5 months who is the coupon king and cheapest of them all! LOL the whole 5 months we dated, the ONLY time he didn't use the coupon was our very first and last date....
