I remember that age. 21. Oh I thought older boys were so bad to date. And you felt intiminated.

Now I know that's a load of crap.

Hey if you still want to give her a try go ahead. At my young age it took me 4 dates to feel comfortable around my 29 yr old.
So who knows?

to the OP,

she doesnt drink, so a bar wouldnt be a good idea and although getting coffee isnt your "cup of tea" lol it was more of a neutral no pressure spot to hangout and get to talk.. u said you met her yesterday so of course u guys were almost perfect strangers and getting coffee was a way to become a little bit more acquainted with each other.

sounds like she really likes you from those text messages. since u said you arent too familiar with the city u are living in, why not take a minute or so to see whats going on and maybe u guys can go to:

a museum
a concert
a play
a musical/symphony
a restaurant
a movie
a stroll thru the park/ something sporty like biking, rollerblading etc something fun = less pressure
maybe the next date can be a movie and dinner. see the movie first, that way u guys have something to talk about during dinner if things get really awkward/silent/boring..

a change of scenery may jazz up the boredom, i know you said shes really nice and good looking but was it just the coffee shop or was it the content of conversation? if she seemed way too introverted during the coffee date, just remember that sometimes its takes a while for someone to get out of their shell and feel comfortable.

give it a few more dates. ask her what kind of movies she likes.. what kind of food she likes. music she likes, etc the answers to those questions may help u plan your nxt date with her..and hopefully u guys find something u have in common!

those texts were very forward so she doesnt have a problem telling you how she feels and it sounds like she likes you!

give it some time. id say by the third date ure still feeling bored, then maybe its her and not the places you are taking her. get to know her better before judging the date as a whole. i mean cmon is was 1 date. good luck for the 2nd one !! i hope its better!!

I'd take a girl to play mini-golf. That's a pretty fun first date.

There's a driving range in town here, but I don't much care for golf.
