Izzy's doesn't heap food on plates. If you order the soup, it comes in a cup or bowl and a slice of wheat bread. If you order a sandwich, it comes with a potato cake, and the reubens are quality and relatively large.

And they give pickles for you to munch on while the food comes.

It's deep fried and loaded with carbs, so it's bad for you, but as long as it's in moderation it's not a big deal.

The freebirds looks good to me... there a couple sort of near me... a little far, but if I'm in the area, will have to think about checking them out...

Oh, I'm so jealous, that was one of the great treats in my youth, but I would also make a point to have them any time I visited the city when I was older. Did you put mustard on yours?
