How do you know I will be alone then either? You have no way of knowing. How do I know you'll have more out of wedlock kids? because people who have one tend to have more because they don't learn.
Maybe that's because they just like having kids

does anyone else single, male or female experience these judgments/comments?
I would say yes I do feel judged for being single sometimes. I show up at the bar where I live and the regulars (of the opposite sex) who have never talked to me before will not talk to me based on the fact that I'm always there by myself, but new patrons (of the opposite sex) always seem to approach me, and for one reason or another it just never works out with the newer ones whether it be the fact that my job title isn't something they respect or because I realize they just want sex or for someone to buy them a drink. I don't really try to meet dates when I go up there, but this is the way women are in the bar scene. They assume I'm sitting alone because I can't find a date, but actually I don't like meeting 'dates' at a bar. I really just enjoy talking to some of the regulars I know, new people, and the bartenders that I know while we watch games and have some drinks. It would be nice to meet a decent date up there, but that's not my main goal.

You might want to reread what you posted and then pick up a copy of Webster's dictionary and check out the definition of the word mature. There is nothing strange/unusual with a 40. something whom hasn't married etc.yet. I am 44 and have not as yet done so and would like to. Not everyone has the same life experiences at the same time as others. Also check the definition of the word judgemental while you are at it.

where did you pick up this tidbit? As a multi family property manager for almost sixteen years I can say this is mostly untrue. most single moms that I have known were burnt by the guys they thought would marry them once they became pregnant. I can assure you these women learned extremely quickly which is why each of them had only one child. I can count on one hand the amount of women I have known of which you speak. its not that they didn't learn just that they didn't care. Please do not cast aspersions.
I have no idea if I am being judged or not for being unattached because I don't give a damn what others think about that. It's none of their business.
