A girl I've been seeing off and on, turns up to my house tonight clearly drunk and wants to "hang out".
She lives about a 15 min walk from my place. Said she was in the city prior.

I've put her to sleep in a spare room. Didn't want her walking home and my car is almost out of fuel (have to top up tomorrow). Showing up at my place drunk and at after 12am is pretty poor form and Intend to tell her so in the morning when she sobers up.

You did the right thing. I wouldn't talk to her about in the morning though. Just let it go.

You're either wildly gay or a true gentleman.

It was a very classy and mature move.

Save the lecture, though. You did your part, now just let it go.

Go you! I didn't think gentlemen like you existed anymore.

I wouldn't lecture her, but I would kindly tell her you do not wish for her to do this again. I'm sure she will feel horrendous enough knowing what she did without you lecturing her like a child.

Tell her but be gentle.

I do not think you need to say anything about this. She is going to realize when she wakes up sober, in your house, that it was poor form without getting spoken to about it.

You handled it as well as you could!

Dave, what was your reasoning for talking to her about this anyway? You really think she will ever try this again? Fat chance. Once a woman has embarrassed herself in this way and has been turned down, she's never going to sniff up that tree again.

Reminds me of the Big Bang theory. Penny knocks down Lennard's door drunk wanting to have sex. Of course he obliges. He tries the same thing the next time and gets the door slammed in his face. 'I think there's a double standard here' he says lol.
