I see nothing wrong with it. Adults can do as they wish. Career mothers especially have very limited time.

I think the issue for many people posting on threads like this is that inherent in a sentence like the above is the assumption that people who DO purchase or sell sex are showing some LACK of respect for themselves or their body. And people take quick offence to any such implication even where it is not intended.

We are free to do with our own bodies what we wish. Our differing choices in that regard do not automatically map in any way into differeing levels of self respect. Likely people purchasing or selling sex respect themselves every bit as much as you judge yourself to be doing.

I don't agree with that at all. But, that's MY opinion. If YOU feel that people who sell their bodies for sex or for whatever reason respect themselves - then that's YOUR opinion, and you're more than entitled to it.

I do not require a reminder as to what my rights and entitlements are. Let us remain on topic here. I certainly see no reason to think that such people respect themselves any less than you do solely because they have made choices that differ from your own. There is no set standard for what people should or should not do with their body or sexuality that maps on to "levels of self respect" in this way.

If a male Escort isn't Wining, Dining and treating his client like the best thing since chopped liver he is not going to last long in the business. Now, if your looking for a quick romp with a Tatum Channing look alike thats a different story.

Personally, I can't imagine being with someone if the sex wasn't satisfying to some degree and I wasn't having the big "O".

As far as the topic at hand goes, I totally understand why a woman would choose to do this.

I have no problem if a woman wants to pay a professional for sex. I would not think less of her. I'm sure there can be many benefits to this, as outlined on previous posts. I especially understand when older women do this if they have the money and do not want a relationship, nor want to enter the dating/bar scene. I think prostitution should be legal and regulated, with regular testing and use of protection.

Sure, if a woman wants to pay for it, why not? But I think women tend to be more squicked out than men about sleeping with someone who is in it just for the money. Personally I would hate to get in bed with someone who wouldn't want to be with me otherwise.

Women who don't want either complicated relationships or one night stands usually easily find a close male friend to sleep with. I have several.

**cough*** double standard **cough**

If a women wants to pay for a good time, why not?

It's basically the same thing as a one night stand.

I agree that if a woman wants to pay for it - she should be able to.

I disagree that it's the same thing as a one night stand. In a one night stand - both parties are choosing to be there because they are interested in the other person - even if it's only for sex. When you pay for sex, one person is essentially doing it as a job and the other person is buying something. Totally different, in my opinion.
