I have given a second chance before. I was hurt the first time and I finally left and I was hurt the second time and I finally left.

Tried and true for me, exes are exes for a reason.

It depends on why the first chance failed. If it was timing or distance, and not hurtful or irresponsible behavior, then a second chance may be warranted. My wife was a second chancer - the first chance failed due to timing.

I gave someone a second chance a few years ago. It didnt work out. But it was genuine, and we tried, and we handled things pretty well for the most part.
I gave someone a second chance not long ago, and it was a really bad idea. I learned something regarding second chances. If things end well the first time, then a second chance is worth it. If things don't end well, second chances only extend the time spent in a relationship that is not meant to be.
I am not a fan of second chances. But I would consider it on a case by case basis. But the older I get, the less window of opportunity I give for second chances.
