Ok here's one. As some of you may know...I am engaged to a very wonderful lady. We have rings. Me being the "guy"...can I wear my ring? And if so...should I wear it on the left or right hand? If a woman wears an emgagement ring...can the guy wear one too?

yours is a wedding ring, wait until after the wedding i don't know if it really matters, I've never wore mine due to working with rotating and electrical equipment. Mines to small now days but some day i'm going to buy a new one to wear when we go out. Wear it on your left hand.

I think if yours is a simple diamond solitaire, you could wear it on your left hand.

Oops...slips it off the right hand and onto the left...

Speaking of rotating equipment and rings...an hour ago I snagged it under the arm of a swivel office chair and darn near dislocated my finger.

HIF it's a plain blackhills gold and no dimonds. I prefer a very low profile type ring. I'll let her have all the glimmer and sparkle.

Rancelot...wear that after you get married, and be careful around machinery, you just may hurt yourself!

But try it on all the time to see how PURTY it looks on you!

Rance & Sweden...CONGRATS to both of you. In answer to your question, I think it's perfectly fine for a guy to wear an engagement ring. Who's to say there are rights and wrongs? It's all about what's been done for years and years in our society. So, IMO, if it's what you both agree on....go for it. Best of luck to you.

Ok, I was just wondering if there was some wives tale about it...or being acceptable to society etc...so, since I've been wearing it all this time...and nobody has riddled me with bullets of shame...I shall continue to do so.

Thank you kalogirl!

By all means where it and be proud. Looking at your ring should put a smile to your face and you can smile even bigger after the wedding. Best of luck!

Rance if you were in a Spanish country, women wear their wedding rings on the Right hand when they get married and left when engaged. Totally backwards from us!

If you want to wear the ring, just wear it. Put it on your left hand just like you would do after you sign the paper. It's what's in your head that counts. Mentally, you're a committed, (well, I think we all are) and might as well be legally married fellow, so just do it. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. You're not single anymore anyway.

I wear a semi pseudo looking thin wedding band on my right hand.. ha ha. Let them try to figure it out. :-))
