Oh, I forgot one that I actually think of quite often:

Live every week like it's shark week.

Words to live by.

I'd say "righty tighty, left lucy" is probably the best advice I've ever had.

2nd place - Don't eat the yellow snow.

3rd place - "Remember, everything that irritates you now will only be multiplied by 100 every 3 years if you marry him" (Mom said while I was engaged).

4th place - "You just smile at her and say: That's right dear, it doesn't get any better than that..." (My Moms advice, after my divorce and in response to a female who thought I must have been crazy for divorcing such a great man with xyz traits)

The best advice I ever got is the antithesis of Pascal's wager

Quote:
Pascal's Wager (also known as Pascal's Gamble) is an argument in apologetic philosophy which was devised by the seventeenth-century French philosopher, mathematician, and physicist, Blaise Pascal. It posits that humans all bet with their lives either that God exists or does not exist. Given the possibility that God actually does exist and assuming the infinite gain or loss associated with belief in God or with unbelief, a rational person should live as though God exists and seek to believe in God. If God does not actually exist, such a person will have only a finite loss (some pleasures, luxury, etc.).[1]
Pascal's Wager - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So what is the antithesis of this? Make the most of life because it is the only one you'll ever have. Don't allow abstractions and fantasy to steal you life away.

QED

Somebody told me once: you'll find the answer inside you. I went like, " what you talking about, I am not gay". I took me a while to realize she meant it spiritually.

Never meet somebody through the Internet unless you're absolutely certain they're over 18. I learned that from Dateline NBC.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them. - Oprah
There is a short video clip explaining the phrase, and everyone can apply it to their life. EVERYONE.

Until someone posted the link on CD, I would have put something else here. Awesome advise.
