Woman who are a bit older and who play the on line dating game look at it as some sort of hobby...Instead of having a life watching soap operas..they have switched to modern media and have turned of the TV. They go for the on line deluded drama....and as in this case actually meet the person...that is their climax. The on line is the foreplay and the sex - and the meeting is the final end of the episode...and they leave as if they had a real relationship then they fire up the lap top and click NEXT. I don't bother with on line crap..there is a real world out there with real people. Try it. The graphics are amazing.
I've had PLENTY of first dates where I thought we had amazing chemistry and got along well. I've had first dates that went on for hours, I'm talking 8-10 hours for a first date, just wandering around town, chatting, having drinks which turned into dinner which turned into more drinks.
Guess what? Only 2 of those turned into second dates. And none turned into a relationship.
She wasn't as into you as you thought she was. Move on.
This post just made me lost interest in dating. Damm, 8 to 10 hours and no second date? Wonder what the heck happened? I don't like hearing stories like this.
"She was educated, intelligent, interesting and attractive to my individualized tastes although no other guy must have thought so because 3 years later and she's still on every site and SAME picture."
This happened 3 years ago? !Move on already.
"Met her at the Barnes And Noble, helped her find an anniversary card for her married 70 years parents, looked at books/CDs/DVD's and invited her to one of the Top 100 American restaurants for the next week."
Ok, so you met and looked around at Barnes and Noble. This does not qualify as a significant interaction.
People don't go on second dates for someone for good reasons, bad reasons, or no reasons at all. Sounds like she's a serial dater, not really looking for a relationship, just likes to date a variety of men. All you can do is move and and forget it.

I've been on no less than 3 dates in the past 2 months that lasted more than 8 hours.
The last one, we met for lunch at around 2pm and ended up closing down a pub at 130 am. That's nearly 12 hours hanging out and having a great time....no second date. He texted me a few times over the next day or two and then disappeared. Gave him a call and he didn't pick up.
Some things don't make sense and you can't dwell on it.
Btw I have had dates like Jet Jockey mentioned where we spent the whole day together and I thought it was the beginning of a relationship. Then the guy disappeared, or he chatted for a few days and disappeared. It stinks but it's a part of life. One guy I thought we connected, we made plans to go see a movie the following week only he called (this was pre internet)to cancel and never rescheduled. I don't know why he lost interest (or never had it). Maybe an exgirlfriend came back (this has happened a few times while dating)or he decides he wanted someone else, or maybe I had a habit he didn't like.

This really makes me not want to date and just live in the fetish world for the rest of my life
