What characteristics of a person can you help "change"? (women, family)

When I talk about characteristics, I am almost talking about personality traits, but not quite.

I know personality traits cannot be changed. Although, certain quirks about a person may be able to be modified. Possibly? I'm not quite sure and that is why I am posting this.

• I think a person's manners can be changed.

• I also think a person's level of confidence, both up or down, can be changed as well.

There is this man I know who is disrespectful towards women and quite rude. I am trying to change this but I don't know if it is possible at this point.

The hard reality is, you cannot "change" anyone in this life but yourself.

The best you can hope to do is to inspire or motivate another person to want to change themselves.

But give up on the idea that you are ever going to change anyone or you will be setting yourself up for failure and disappointment.

Unless this person is someone you care about, i.e. a family member or close friend, and doing this would improve their relationship with you, other family members, or other close friends, I don't see the objective. Plus, this assumes the person who "needs" correction is willing to change.
