Do you think many strippers/prostitutes become resentful towards men in general?
I don't think so. Most strippers/prostitutes consider what they do as just a job. They know there's a demand for their services and that's all there is to it.
And like any job - some are better at it than others, some like it more than others, etc.
My friend who was both and is still a prostitute does not resent men at all and this has been her career choice since she was 18 and is now about 48 and still going strong. She hasn't quite met her retirement fund goal yet, about another 2 years and she should be able to retire comfortably.
Is she a high class escort?
I doubt she is a streetwalking prostitute from your description.

And yet, a lot of people who work in retail come to resent customers. It's a job, but being witness to, or the object of a lot of bad behavior by customers can sour the most understanding and patient people after a time. Given that strippers and prostitutes see some of the worst of men's behavior, I'm surprised more of them don't resent men.
I've wondered about this. Dunno if this or the psychological forum is the most appropriate, but since it's relevant to relationships...
Strippers and prostitutes, I would think, would develop a rather jaded, cynical, and negative view towards men. It's only natural. Not saying all, but I think most. If you feel you're constantly being used for sex day in day out you might begin to see men as lecherous, pathetic and one-dimensional, and lose respect for them. Of course many women CHOOSE this career path and some actually enjoy it or don't mind it and still don't think differently of men, but I've heard anecdotally that many prostitutes and strippers eventually get so turned off men, because they associate them with work and loveless or even pleasureless sex, that they become lesbians. Is there truth to that?

For this question to be explored and answered, it would actually need to be in a different board, maybe great debates or politics and controversy. The one part that no one is touching on from your question here, is the part asking if it causes them to become lesbians. This is the controversial part of the question.
One has to look at whether they believe someone can be turned homosexual, or if they are born that way and maybe just repress their feelings.

Yes i was thinking perhaps it's more suited to psychology. I do believe that some women can turn lesbians, though it's rare for a man to turn gay. Not saying that some women aren't just born lesbians, but some women just seem to have that capability to switch. The real-life examples don't lie. Nothing wrong if they feel that's truly who they are/are attracted to, but if it's borne out of a hatred for men then it's not healthy.
Women who get drunk might not intend to go home with a guy (at least consciously) but by putting herself in that situation she sure makes that much more likely.
When I was single, I came out of clubs with friends very drunk. We always went in groups and the DD made sure those of us who were drunk made it home alone. No judgement call from me on one night stands. But there's something skeevy about unplanned drunk sex with a stranger. It sounds very upsetting.
In college, two of my friends picked up stripping. Probably a wiser choice than my student debt. The friend who only stripped during college and then went on to become a lawyer, is married with kids. The other friend didn't quit stripping. She never got into her field and she's still a stripper. I think "resent" is a good description for how she seems to feel about men. We went our separate ways a long time ago and I don't know how she's doing now. But last I checked, her dating life sucked. She really attracted creeps.
Have you guys ever met a stripper who is single, no kids, educated, came from a normal upbringing, who strips just because she likes it? I've always wondered how many strippers like that exist!

I think women here may be more resentful towards men then the above two groups
