When did you meet your second spouse? (dating, wife, marriage)

Was it years after your divorce was final? How many? Or just months? Or before the divorce was finished? How old were you?

I'm just wondering how these things work. You can answer about people you know, if you don't have a second spouse yourself .

I'm too old to remember. We've been together in one form or another for 16 years. Seems like yesterday.

I heard of a guy who befriended a bank teller. They had small talk for years of how's the family and that sort.

As soon as he divorced his then wife he married her. That was within a year after divorce. They are still together after 25 years.

I met my second husband about 1.5 years after my divorce. I was widowed after almost 15 years of marriage. Met my current beau (and man I hope to marry one day) about 2 years after my LH died.

I divorced in 1989, met my wife in 1993. We wed in 2001.

I don't think I met him. I have been divorced 4 years. I did meet someone the same year I got divorced but that did not work out. Still looking for future spouse. I've had other opportunities (that I'm confident could have become my second spouse), I just kept going back to this one man, I don't know if the others were wrong because I was already in love or if they were just wrong. I'm not in love anymore so I am ready to meet my second spouse and I do believe I will meet him this year.

Divorced first husband in 1979, met second husband in the parking lot of Burger King in 1981, got married in 1983, got divorced in 1997/1998, met husband number 3 1999 and were best friends almost from the first time we met, became a couple in 2004, married on Friday October 13, 2006 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

I met my current spouse about 6 weeks after I split with my ex and moved out, though our first contact was online two weeks earlier. That first marriage had really been over for years - we were just waiting for the right time to actually act on it, so I was ready to move on. It was mostly a matter of being careful to make a better choice the next time. Anyway, we were both very new to dating again, so agreed to date others to be sure this wasn't just a rebound situation, the compatibility was as solid as it first seemed, and to be sure we could work out the logistics as one of us would have to relocate. That was over 13 years ago, and it worked out marvelously.

First one I met in HS..got married at 19 and lasted 10 yrs...second I met when I pulled up at a party on a motorcycle and she was an aquaintance's GF....I asked her if she wanted to take a bike ride(it was a nice cool night) and she declined..her BF said "aw hell,take a ride with him,he don't bite" and she decided to go...we never went back and that was 18 yrs and two kids ago...my divorce was decreed at 8:30 am and that afternoon by 1pm the new one was moved in...I was 29. And that's the God's honest facts.
