I dated a 24 year old virgin. Wasn't too big of a deal to me.. But I was weary bexause a lot of times virgins hold it over your head and it just gets old. Personally, I think it's best to keep it to yourself for a while.
Neither would I. Today's 22 year old girls are only virgins out of personal choice.
And very few of them would appear to make that choice.
I lost my virginity at age 13 I think it was. I got drunk for the first time at age 13 too.
I commend her choice and resolve though. There's a lot of pressure engage in sex. I wish I had remained a virgin well into my 20s at least. I also wish I had went to an all boys school in high school. But that's a different issue.
When I was a teenager my city held the rank of being #1 in the country for teenage black girls. And I could see why. It was very common to see teenage girls with babies. And not uncommon to hear teenage black boys talking about their child. And you would hear young black girls (and young black women in their 20s) talking about they need to get pregnant again so they can increase the amount of the welfare check.
The black teen pregnancy rate in my city has declined now. I think so at least.
Anna, I think you'll find a number of young men that will be attracted to draw of a challenge, in getting a virgin to lose her virginity to them, so, in that respect you'll find young men drawn your virginity. Some. But on the other hand you'll probably find few young men willing to "wait" on you if that wait encompasses some years or more especially, as has been previously stated, if that wait requires a wedding ring.
When I was a young man in the Marine Corps I had some dilemma or question. I can't remember what it was but it had to do with women. So, I asked another young Marine his opinion and he answered me with, and I paraphrase, "Men go to who's giving up the *****."
He got far more ***** than me so maybe he knew what he was talking about.

Out of curiosity, how many virgins did you date that led you to this conclusion of what's a typical trait of virgins: in "holding it over" others heads?
Personally, I'm not sure I know one single virgin.
My experience with sexually active women is that they "hold" their ***** "over your head" all the time. And I don't mean that literally. There's an old say, by women, at least I've heard it said by one or more Black-American women, "A broke woman and ***** don't go together." And women are well aware they can use what's between their legs as a tool of manipulation.
You don't have to tell anyone that you are a "virgin". Tell the truth, which is what you wrote about why you have waited. When you find the right man, he will find out soon enough.
