I am still able to perform . But I find myself doing math in my head to figure out if I will be ovulating during the next 7 days, and paying close attention to where certain bodily fluids are ending up.
It was suggested elsethread that this is unhealthy.
... then I would not have penetrative sex. Why do something stupid when you know better? Sure, there's Plan B, but a little responsibility and restraint go a long way.
Male: No. Because for me during sex, lust takes over and even things that should rationally be concerning become turn ons, let knocking her up, getting her pregnant. Therefore, the best times to exercise restraint when you don't want a child is before you start having unprotected sex!
Why would I ever do something that stupid and reckless? (i'm a guy) A couple times I've um pulled out and realized the condom was broke and had feelings of terror for the next week or so.
I like your clever status tag, but this question is bizarre. You might be caught between religion and science (hint, go with science).
Female - Not something I think about during sex at all.
So, you have had sex without birth control, when getting pregnant would be a disaster, and you gave no thought to that during? From what I know of you that surprises me, so I am asking to clarify.

Thanks . But I am confused by your reference to religion -- could you explain?
I don't think I've done this. Definitely not wanting a child, but no birth control at all? I haven't done this.
Yes, it would be distracting.
Me: female, age almost 46.
By tracking your body's fluids, are you talking about NFP? I chart too but not for birth control (I had a tubal ligation several years ago). I do it because things can get wonky in that arena every once in a while and I like to know if and when to expect a period.
I'm a male and I've never done this and will never do it. If my girlfriend has to go off birth control for some reason, I'll put on a condom. I'd be too worried about the consequences and would do other things to satisfy our desires.
