sometimes, it a little longer for some people to get over someone. This seems to be the case.

Seriously? Move on. People live their lives and don't think about how it will "affect" others. Sounds like you need to do the same. GL

OP, sounds like you are being either way too sensitive, or paranoid about this.

You and her had a long relationship. Sounds like she was starting to build up her career near the time you broke up. So when you did, she moved into a location close by, since it was close to the location of her job/career.

Big deal!

You said nothing about having run-ins with her over all these years since you broke up, even though she is within the general vicinity.

Besides, 3-5 miles is not like she moved across the street.

Chill out and move on!

OP;

Take off the tin foil. She found a house she liked that she was able to move in with her husband and child. None of this is in anyway even remotely about you. Do what she has done -- move on.

She probably doesn't even remember your name. Forget about her.

The first 2 words were enough lol.

OP, seriously? So what that she lives in the same area? You seem to have gone WAY out of your way to find out all this info on her. It's kinda creepy that you took so much interest in it.

Dude, get a grip. She probably liked the area and the house. When people are moving they don't generally rule out every place within five effing miles of anyone they've ever been with. If it were next door or across the street and you had just broken up a month or two ago you might have a valid concern.

Temerity, gall and nerve? Really?

You split up 9 years ago. She's been in the area for at least 6 years while you've been gone for 7 years. What does it matter? She has been living a life completely independent of you for 9 years, with a job, career and family, established in a time period you didn't even live there.

Why does it bother you so much?

You are clearly not over the relationship, she is. Where she lives is not the problem.

I doubt OP is coming back to read the rest of the posts. Our replies are not what he expected...

I once dated a girl over a year in college. We broke up, and two months later she moved literally right across the street from me. Well, across the street and two houses down.

It was great. She still did my laundry and took care of my dog when I was out of town.

You're doing it wrong apparently.
