I've never been to a school with a football team or cheerleaders. So very American. I really can't relate to this concept.

It may be "very American", but I avoided that shyt like it was plague, never went to any high school football games, usually they were on Friday nights... I was too busy hanging out with the skaters/metalheads and getting into some form of antisocial behavior, nothing too bad, usually.....

I failed to show up to secondary school for nearly 3 years, let alone sports games that no one but the participating athletes and hard core parents went to watch. No avoidance necessary. That option wasn't available. I was either smoking up or skateboarding, but I didn't hang out with friend's much in high school because I moved too much. I think I got sick of making friend's and moving. So I stopped making friends with anyone but dealers and became completely apathetic.

Sorry, it's just it comes up so often online and American media. As though football and cheerleaders were universal concepts. But outside of the US, I don't think there is an equivalent. KWIM?

Consider it soccer(football) stars and girls that usually date them. The stereotype is changing though. I thought 21 Jump street was hilarious in pointing this out.

Ohhhhh, like the topless Page 3 girl in The Sun newspapers? But I got the impression girls were jealous of the Cheerleader type? I don't imagine any girl at school wanted to end up on Page 3. Or do you mean more like Essex girls? But no one particularly wanted to be one of those either.

That is BS. If the man has money, he can be a 1. He will nail a 10 in a moment. That is the great hush hush secret of the woman's lib movement. Money talks and while they know it, they are not proud of it.

Object all you want, but you know its true.
