Oh i know, take the gum!!! Ive never had the heart to tell people, aside from family that theyre breath smells. I surely know when my breath stinks and when it does im reluctant to speak to people until i go clean out my mouth with a waterpik, toothbrush, and listerine. I LOVE garlic and onions so i know the importance of this routine though.

On TV/movies they never show
what lovers do about birth control. Similarly they never show if both or one of the lovers has BB or not. It's just assumed that they brushed and flossed.

Yes it's a dealbreaker. It's one thing if you just ate something that gave you a temporary case of bad breath, but if it's something chronic I would not be able to get past it, kissing is too important.

Well I have to say Bad-Breath is pretty awful . However it woud not be a deal breaker if it was medical rather than a hygiene issue.
If I truly liked someone or loved them , bad breath would have to be dealt with ( and kissing endured with the help of much breath mints, mouthwash , pegs on the nose but I would not refuse to have a relationship with someone who was a lovely human being simply because of this.
If it was a hygiene issue though, absolutely a deal breaker.
If it is ical though and the person is not to blame then it seems churlish to deny yourself a potential great relationship. I trust modern science must be able to deal with that issue and good men are hard to find !

There are deal breakers for some situations. The no floss funk is very distinguishable and it's a deal breaker. Smoking will cause BB but smoking is a deal breaker anyways. If it’s a stomach or throat BB related issue, then that’s case by case. If it's reckless BB and you can tell they do nothing to try to at least mask it or if they are incapable of making efforts to improve their situation, then that's a deal breaker. If it’s something you know they are working on or at least conscious enough to try to make it better, then I’ll work with that. Sometimes it’s just a matter of diet or something they drank. I can easily look past it if it’s a unique situation.

Have them see a dentist. This can be a sign of serious dental problems.
Then encourage frequent brushing.
If that doesn't work, leave. Getting used to a pulp mill or pig farm nearby is probably more predictable, and therefore easier.

I Am seeing this guy and its been about a month now and he has terrible bad breath. I have said things to make him notice his breath. I cant take it any more. I turn my head when he tries to kiss and i do give him quick kisses , then wipe my lips when he looks away it makes me gag, but i knew he had problems when he didnt bring over a night bag when we stayed up late and i made him go home at 1 in the morning he wasnt sleeping in my bed with all of that going on,
