We bought our generator when we had an ice storm up in Western NY. My two older boys were babies and it was FREEZING in the house. After 3 days the inside temp was 42 degrees. I had them sleeping in their snow suits in our bed with us. Of course, my husband got the generator up and running and hooked up the furnace and the power came back on 15 mintues later
We still have it though...comes in handy when a good storm blows through.
I've toyed with the idea of an inverter. Finally after fighting it most of the day we got my parents generator running, we have some power at the house. No water except what I filled before the power went out. We are warm and safe.
The inverter was quite handy, used mainly for work I would clean equipment in the van rather than inside. I consider it rude to blow dust all over the customer's store and some of the stores are quite old with questionable eletrical service.
I found this article to be interesting. I don't have kids but I'd like to think if we did we'd try and do some of this stuff here.
IDK if it's just an American society thing or not, but it seems like we spend too much money on things for kids. Kids don't need as much "stuff" as we seem to think they do.
I don't use a product specifically for evening out skintone. I use a facial wash and a moisturizer called Andalou which works great. I have a skin condition called perioral dermatitis. I get raw, red, rough, bumpy skin on my chin and next to and under my nose. It controls the redness and irritation for me and keeps that under control for the most part.
I do go to the dermatologist once a month, sometimes more frequently if my skin goes wacko. I have an "acne treatment" done, even though I don't have acne. They use a scrub, steam my face, do a good deep cleaning and follow it with cryogenic therapy (Frozen Snowball). The Frozen snowball is the bomb! It helps even the skin tone and closes up the pores and it feels sooooooo good!
I'm pretty fair skinned so any little flaw is like a giant red flag on my face. I'm using Vichy right now, but it's pretty pricey and I don't know that it's doing anything. I think I got just enough sun this summer to cause some unevenness. Ugh. It's easy to cover, but I don't like wearing much makeup unless I'm getting made up for a special event.
I might have to visit my derma to see if I can get a quick fix. Thanks for the frozen snowball suggestion.
I should have known it was you. You're getting banned at record pace. lol
You need to learn not all women want to be called sexy and told that they are desirable to men. And not all women want to be called baby, etc. I could not care less what men here think about me. I'm sure there are.girls here who will appreciate your slobber, but I do not.

Not sure if that is an attempt to be informative or lay a guilt trip.
