Yeah, most of the times the high quality or attractive girls are single because every one assumes they are taken.
I can count on one finger the very attractive women I've known who were single. Actually, I don't even need one finger, because it's zero. It's a nice thought to believe that beautiful woman you see might actually say "yes" because she's never asked out by anyoe, but in my experience it's never like that. Maybe in much larger cities, I don't know.
Seems like the most common assumption is that she's taken. I guess that's the disadvantage of appearing to have it all together. People think you don't want them, or at the very least, don't need them.

Of course, it's crazy to assume someone's taken just by their appearance. Is this mainly an American thing, or do European men do this, too? Avoid good-looking women on the assumption that they're all taken? Does anyone here realize how dysfunctional that sounds? If find it hard to believe.
