Wow, if I was invited I would go. I think it was a nice gesture on your co-workers part. I imagine he felt a little bad that you would rather stay home alone then attend his little party. It sounds like other people might be there as well.
Be lucky, I wasn't invited anywhere or to do anything with anyone. Oh, except Raena's board party!
Seriously, I am not depressed about staying home alone today. I refuse to let that happen.
You are always welcome.
******tosses a beer***
Get these burgers grilled.
Where the heck did I put the pickles??....hmmm
Well, I'm working all day and I was gonna cut out early (we're super dead here and my last flight leaves at 6:30...after that I have zero to do) but the guy I was supposed to go out with tonight flaked as usual. So, looks like I'll stay til the end of my shift and then maybe talk one of my roommates into walking down to the pub for a drink when I get home.
Hooray!
I'm curious as to whether you're always the first person there on dates- one thing I've noticed about younger people in the States is that people really don't take times very seriously. They like to shift appointments constantly and at the last minute, and it's not just dating or personal appointments either.
We're just going to stay in and do up a nice Peruvian dish called Saltado de Pollo... Yeah, not a "traditional" American thing to do, but we really like the dish.
About 3 or 4 miles from us is a college campus and every yr they shoot off fireworks so from our upper level office (spare bedroom) we can see them.
Throw a couple of glasses of vino down my neck and call it good.

My husband took me out today to see World War Z, and to Bojangles for a Cajun sammich!
We will let off a few fireworks later, and I have a bottle of champayne chillin`!

I try to be early, but that's usually because I'm still fairly new to Boston and can have problems finding locations so I overcompensate by leaving early. I try to meet at subway stations because it's just wayyy easier to meet up and then walk to wherever we're going together, at least for me. I get lost easily
I had made plans with him 2 days ago for tonight and he said he would let me know where we could meet to watch the fireworks and then grab some drinks afterwards, but then completely disappeared. Gave him a call and sent a text but no response. Guess I got another 'ghoster'
But yeah, people my age tend to just ignore appointments or change things at the last minute if something better comes up. Nobody seems to care about the other parties involved.
