I am just curious and looking to be entertained. What are some examples of odd or off-the-wall questions you've been asked by your mate, or that you have asked your mate?

Mine was probably when an ex-boyfriend of mine asked me if I ever thought about the possibility of aluminum based life forms. I was struck for a bit, then just smiled and changed the subject.

Wow, you passed up an opportunity to discuss something as deliciously absurd as that?
No wonder I find so many real life conversations boring. You bring up something imaginative & people smile & change the subject.

Not a bf, but I did have a friend ask me "What happens when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force?". I admit I did not respond enthusiastically, but it's because I had no witty response & was in a bad mood.

So, apparently that whole arsenic based life form story I read months ago is a myth.

Internet, I am disappointed.

LOL. I was caught off guard, as the question was asked over dinner and very randomly. We did discuss it later in the week.

He was probably watching a football game when he asked, wasn't he? He was probably channelling the spirit of John Madden and preparing to wow you with his immense knowledge of the game!
