Unless it's changed a lot, I thought Madison was a granola college town. There should be all kinds of hiking, biking yoga enthusiasts around.

Not everyone in a college town is an undergrad. There are professors, departmental admins, post-docs, accountants, IT people, librarians, etc. of all ages affiliated with the university and who probably don't fall into the middle-aged spread type.

Exactly. The idea that late 30's and 40-somethings don't hike, bike and/or do yoga or Chi Gong and go to the gym is ludicrous. Some people here on C-D are so disconnected from reality! Maybe it's a difference between the teen and college-age 20-something posters, and the older posters, who actually know how women in their 30's, 40's & 50's live, and what they look like?

But doesn't mean it doesn't carry risks, which it does.

Yeah the amount of misinformation I see about women in their 30's and above never fails to amaze me. I workout and am more into sports than things like cooking and I am young acting.

Indeed, although many probably shouldn't.

Fun fact... a 96 year old is the oldest man to ever conceive, and his wife, the mother of the child is 54, which is also remarkable!

Not trying to encourage men to do this though! More info:

That's just scary on many levels. Personally I think both parents are too old. I know at one point the oldest woman to conceive naturally was a 59 year old grandmother.

I would just be beside myself if I conceived at 59! *faints*
