I sent my huband out late onenight to a 7-11...he found the item(while on the cell phone with me)...he paid for it and the cashier asked him "Do you want a bag for that?'...to which he replied..."What do you think?" LOL
I usually use a cup, but my bf and I were traveling one time and staying at my grandma's, and I got caught off guard. Plus, I had a broken foot. So I asked them to go to the store for me.
They come back looking completely dazed and talking about the overwhelming multitude of options available, and hoping they got something useful. My grandma says, 'You ask a man and a post-menopausal woman to go to the store...'
On that note, my wife did point out the brand she used a couple of times when we were shopping together. She didn't want me to creep out the other ladies while I stood there dazed by myself.
I've never had to ask. I always buy a few months worth of supplies on sale and have never had an emergency. I also always carry a few tampons in my purse, and me and my lady coworkers have a few in the office just in case.
I do know my ex NEVER would have done it. He asked me to keep my supplies out of his sight at all times so I kept them in my office instead of the bathroom.
My Dad doesn't care, and my brother actually buys his own because he gets nose bleeds when it gets really hot and uses small tampons to plug his nose up...which is why I've called tampons lady plugs for many years now. If a 15 year old boy can buy tampons for himself without any issue, a grown man shouldn't have a problem with it either
Exactly this.
I always had a supply ahead. And my ex-husband wouldn't even walk down that aisle in the grocery store. If I went down that aisle, I could find him in the cookie aisle. LOL He didn't even want to take the boxes out of the bags when we got home.
As far as my exSO goes, I never gave him reason to have to deal with it. He was a lucky guy.
I think there's something wrong with a BF/husband who would have a problem with this. My husband (then BF) was buying me tampons when we were both 16 if it was necessary. If a 16 year old teenager can do this without having a problem, why couldn't any grown man?

He will but I typically won't ask because I don't think he'd come back with the right ones.
Hahaha!!! Same here! I'd have to download a pic and send it to his phone to make sure he picked out the right kind. But in his defense, I'm no different when I have to run to Home Depot for him and he wants me to get a specific type of screw or bolt.
Are we still back in the 50's with twee hushed women's talk of "feminine hygiene" and "monthlies"?
Tampons and pads are purchased with monotonous regularity by AT LEAST 50% of the population, are absolutely no big deal whatsoever, and raise as many eyebrows as bandaids or cans of coffee.

It's weirdly refreshing to find a man who doesn't flinch when the topic comes up.
