Gaming doesn't interest me at all, so neither do serious gamers. There are lots of other nerdy pursuits besides gaming, though.

Ya but gamer is the "archtype" of nerd isn't it?

though if you think about it, digging deeply enough into anything basically makes you qualify to nerdhood.

I had a Swedish teacher who could quote basically any known work of ancient nordic mythology and sagas for example...what a character lol

Yes, but only if they're handsome as well. I found two men who fit those descriptions and are alsoo super easy on the eyes.
