there is no day without night,,,theirs no ups,,unless you've been down

when someone says this ,,this means they had conflicts/fights but resolved them..

the glue that holds a relationship together (ironically) is how the two handles conflicts, how they react when the other is angry... this tests the character of the relationship

I think ups and downs are kind of like the weather. It just happens. Larger forces blow our way. People have their moments, or their moods, and usually a lot of external stresses.

If we're having a conflict, which happens, both of us are pretty quick to pull back from it - even if it's a relatively heated issue -- and acknowledge that we still love the other one but we're frustrated! Hey, we can both get mad or stew over things, right or wrong.

And it's conceivable we could recognize longer good or bad spells, in retrospect.

At the end of the day, we prefer being happy and content TOGETHER. So we sort out our problems like we figure grown ups ought to.
