When school starts again and you're with your friends, you'll be so busy with them it won't seem so bad. As you say, you'll meet someone when the time is right. Go with it. That's a smart way to think.

High School is the minor leagues.
i get your point, but when you're in high school, like OP, these things do seem tremendously important.

Everything seems like a big deal and another thing, when you're in HS it's 3-4 yrs of your life, and it seems like that is all you know, nothing else matters, IDK, not explaining myself, it seemed like those few yrs took a long time, now you blow thru 3 or 4 yrs without even seeing them.... LOL

As I get older I see why "old" people seem to be meh or even semi-jaded or just like "whatever" to things, because as you experience more and more you see that everything is just the same thing recycled, when you're in HS you're wide-eyed and everything seems like it's new and has never been done and is unique, etc etc.

This is so obvious with actors and music "idols", pop stars. There is always some new fresh batch coming up and the 14 yrs all think it is some fresh unique thing, when in reality it most certainly has been done before in some variation...

LOL, sorry to hijack the thread, just got to thinking...

The OP sounds like a nice lovely young lady and I wish her the best.....

yeah that's what i was thinking.

i mean yeah, we could mock her for being in high school. that'd be real adult of us; like we haven't been there before. (i know i have.)

i just don't have any good advice for her. if her experience was like mine at that age, the solution is to just wait about a week and your problems will become old news.
