"u r free now?"

I thought she was asking was I free to talk on the phone and my response was

"Around 8:30pm. Leaving the office now and I should be settled by then"

So she seemed to be bothered by the text and said........."I was just asking was you free from work and I;m actually going to a concert tonight so I don't know when I will be done with that"

HUH

Was anything wrong with my text? We had such a great back and forth texting convo and it's a shame everything fell apart at 5:30pm and she seemed to stopped texting me after I told her I would be settled at 8:30pm
Prime example why not to text when getting to know someone.

That's true, effective August 2nd

"There will be no more than 2 text messages exchanged before a 1st conversation on the phone. No more texting anyone who I haven't spoken with on the phone while I am at work"

I should know better.

"was you free" is not considered text talk in 2013 or any other year...it is considered ignorant grammar.

Have you guys noticed how many responses WPD always gets to the most inane posts? And, no matter what topic, it always kinda sounds like the same thing? sigh...

Why don't you quit with the endless texting and just call the girl?
