For women from age 23-32, do you prefer men just a few years older (less than 5-6 years older to 1-2 years younger, or men from 35 to 50-55 years old?

And which do you prefer for casual relationships, dating and marriage? And how does money, looks, sex drive, maturity and chemistry come into the picture?

Do you prefer an older provider type? A more mature, handsome man? A younger, siller Ashton Kutcher type? Or do you just play it as it goes?

Do you actively try to go places where older men hangout to meet them? Are you an "old" soul?

Thanks for the responses.

I am 27.

Much preferred men within a few years of my own age. I would not be comfortable with someone in a completely different stage of life. Anyone 50 years old in the same stage of life as me would worry me. Why were they unable to grow up and mature?

I never believed in casual relationships. Everyone I dated was with the intent of marriage. It worked. I happily married someone a year older than me, and we've gotten to experience many of life's "firsts" together.

I was once that age and rarely do women 23-32 prefer men in their 50's. I am 42 and I don't even prefer a man in his 50's. My boyfriend is 51 and that is really pushing it for me.

Neither, they prefer men who have their sh*t together and good income.

I don't have a preference for older men, but will consider dating someone up to 10 years older than me. I'm most attracted to men in their mid-late 20s and early 30s though, so my preference is around my age or younger.

What about the responses from women who seem to find men in their 20's too immature and actively seek 35+ men-- as they know what they are getting, whether or not they will be financially successful, and the advantage over time that their husband won't start cheating when they hit 40?

I find it interesting that the assumption here is that women automatically prefer older men. I've always preferred men my age, though ultimately, age isn't a factor.

Another interesting assumption. Most men don't do this. In fact, a lot of women look a lot younger at 40 than their 40-something husbands do. Women don't go into marriage thinking about this. If C-D is to be believed, it's mostly guys who think about potentially cheating wives when contemplating marriage.
Whether or not C-D is to be believed could the the subject of a very interesting thread of its own...

Ruth, in C-D land all married women are going to get pregnant from a man besides their husband, and make him pay. In C-D land all women desire men much older (in many cases older than their dad). Let's not forget that all 50 year old men are handsome and in shape while women as young as in their 30's are old hags who should be happy anyone pays attention to them.

I'm glad this world only exists here.

Many men in their 20s are pretty immature...but that doesn't mean I'm going to start dating someone my Dad's age.

I prefer men within a few years of my age....I'm 29 and I think around 35 or so is my limit. Of course, it completely depends on the man, but I've never been attracted to anyone over around 37 or 38 or so.
