6. Don't give away to much too soon. I've learned from the past not to open up so much when you barely know the person. It should be a slow progression in getting to know them, let them leave wanting to learn more about you.
7. Don't bring old baggage- stop talking about your ex! Don't mention anyone thats hurt you inthe past. Start with a clean slate!
I'm a dude and I can't understand this reasoning. Do you realize that there exist shy or clueless dudes? Most guys in this forum say that they can't tell whether a girl is interested or just being nice. If a guy doesn't text you, it could be because he's not interested, it could be because he's shy, or it could be because he's not sure you're interested.
So if a guy is not calling/texting, the girl should do it anyway? Despite the fact that typically this is a sign of non-interest? To me this is putting the woman in the mans position so she is now the persuer (sp?).
Funny thread...I'm dating again and I've learned, I'm already tired of it! LOL, treat each person as a individual...these list of rules don't always apply to each person.

Also, if a girl is not contacting me or giving me an inkling that she was receptive to my advances, I can assume she ain't interested too and in that case it ain't worth my time to contact her.. I think it is about time this backwards rule goes both ways if women want to believe it.
What I've learned personally is that dating is work and you should only go in when you are ready to be 100.

I don't think the average male expects the girl to initiate contact in the beginning. I've even heard some guys say it makes her look desperate or clingy and she's to available.

I didn't say she should initiate the whole thing from the beginning, all I am saying is if you share my interest being receptive to me will increase the chances that I will reach out to you.
