I'm confused if your ad is for a adult fun (I'm not exactly sure what that is, I can only imagine) why do you expect or care if they write a long message. Shouldn't it be quick and direct to the point?

I want them to be interested in learning more about safe adult fun
Not going to make much a difference. Most of my photos are typical photos out with friends, action type shots, or shots of me on vacation.
And in most situations, my grill isn't much better looking in one photo compared to another.
Some guys are considered attractive, and don't have to work at it. I'm not a guy that doesn't have to work at it.
I will say, that my random abstract comments did earn about 3-4 times more profile views from the women I messaged, but again, conversation stumbled if I didnt stay on it. When a woman is interested, she has something to say. When she isn't.... crickets can be heard.

Mine are all gig shots, me playing electric guitar and sometimes singing on stage. You'd think at LEAST one would want to do the groupie fantasy, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, they all listened when mama told them not to date musicians.
One could spend a few minutes throughly reading someones profile. The write out a full thought out message (3 minutes):
"Hi, I see you like to cook, and you enjoy sushi. I cook as well, as I have been cooking since I was 9. I like long walks on the beach and the smell of fresh cut grass. I see you are a hockey fan, were those playoffs not the most insane hockey you have ever seen ? "
And then.... crickets.
Annnnnnnd they disnt even read the message, they spend 2 seconds looking at your picture, and DELETE. Not even a profile review.
"Hi, how are you?" is a conversation starter.
When you are in public, how do you create conversation? please don't tell me you compliment their scarf or jacket or shoes....
A simple hello is typically enough. If a woman is interested, she reciprocates, if she isnt, she doesn't reciprocate.
Online conversation starting is the same way. I know guys that don't even say 'hi' online. They wink or send a
And these guys get dates all the time.
Your level of frustration is a lil high. Hopefully your profile doesnt list 'easy going' as a trait. No offense, but from your posts, you are closer to the opposite of easy going, at least on this forum.
It doesn't matter whether you write 3 paragraphs or 3 words, but hi how are you can be sufficient. Here's my thing about custom and thought out messages. Being a guy in online dating I know my chances aren't that great and most girls in online dating don't take it too serious and get tons of messages. I am not going to waste my time writing some lengthy message that she will probably read and delete without responding anyway, call me lazy but its true. If you can't start a conversation now with hi how are you, how do you expect to start conversations down the road in a committed relationship? Being in public and starting a conversation is a bit different then online, don't ya think?
Wouldn't it be awesome if I was this totally hot guy and didnt realize it? So hot that women were intimated by me? And I mean EVERY woman I ever looked at.
Sadly, I'm not 18 and dealing with women that were so insecure that they couldn't handle my hotness.
The truth is, I am much more on the other side of the spectrum. I have a bunch of friends over the years that I have witnessed women propositioning them, simply cause they were soooooooo hot. And then they date, or have fun. Either way, that stuff doesn't happen to me. I struggle to get women to even carry on a conversation with me. If I don't keep the conversation going, the woman just stops talking most of the time. Most women are just flat out not interested in me physically. That is why most gf's I have had have been women I was friends with first.
IMO, the friend zone is BS. I have slept with more friends than I have slept with women I have cold approached either IRL, or OLD. And it's a huge disparity. Once women get to know me, they like me. But based off of looks, I am one of the last guys in the room a woman is interested in.
Just received another reply this morning with the same silly "how are you?
She was HOT and I still deleted the message. That lets you know that I am really fed up LOL
I have to keep reminding myself that this and all the similar posts are coming from a man approaching 40 and not from a 16 year old ...
