"HI, HOW ARE YOU"
LOL
Even when she is my type I hate it because it's hard to get something started from "Hi, how are you" That reply has now starting to be deleted because so many people have no clue on how to start a conversation. That reply is nothing but a "original flirt" since someone actually typed it and hit send.
Now I know I am not the only online who received a "Hi, How are you" as a "initial message to their profile right???

no, you aren't the only one. IMO when you get a message like that it is often either:
(A) This person has nothing in common with me, but maybe wants to hook up
or
(B) This person is missing a piece of their brain

Or you could just not receive any emails at all, like most men who do online dating

Actually receiving no messages is a whole lot better than "Hi, how are you?"

That kind of reply always came off to me as kind of lazy. I never knew if it was because they really didn't know what to say, or they couldn't be bothered to try.

Right it gives off a lazy vibe and I find myself turned off
I only accept those types of messages on craigslist because the person is verifying that I am not a spam ad. But on a dating service it's unnecessary
