Heres some reasons I put this down to.....the guard/defenses go up with similar age.....many my age are taken, more younger and older are not......I look younger than my age.....my social circle most are in LTR's already, this is my main interaction with people my age.

It's simply that you look younger than your age. And young people (teens, 20's) seem to have fewer inhibitions about hitting on people...? Oh, btw, thanks for yet another testimonial about women hitting on men. The conventional wisdom here on C-D among the men says they don't, but more and more guys have been posting that they do get hit on by women.
There definitely are single women in your age-range (if there are single older women, obviously, there are single women your age), but they think you're too young for them, so they don't hit on you. This is the story of my life--very popular with people who are some embarrassing fraction of my age, but where are all the single guys my age? The older women hitting on you are looking for fresh, young meat, for a fling, apparently. The women your age are looking for potential life partners for a serious LTR, so they're not interested in someone they perceive to be 10 years younger than they.
