That's why I mentioned Latin American Catholics, to contrast that with US Catholics (though, note that NM Catholics generally use BC). The adherence to the Pope's prohibition seems to be mainly an middle- and upper-middle-class phenomenon in the US, and even there, there are plenty of exceptions (I've been told that in the 60's the rule was relaxed). Anyway, my point is that in poor communities in Latin America, nobody's heard of the Church's prohibition on birth control. Apparently, the Church doesn't educate people there about their policy.

It is blatantly clear to most everyone.......

PS ~~ Don't forget you are the one who stated your boyfriend is a slimeball and asked if you should leave him.
No one else here mentioned anything about slime or balls (baseball, basketball, football, soccer, etc. etc)

but where did this bragging part come into play?
Well, I met him and went out with him for a year and a half or so before deciding to move with him to Canada.

I've gone through his messages on his computer, after trusting him as he asked me to for quite awhile, during which time I found many messages about which hot girls his friends scored for the night, which hot girls they saw out, wishing they had screwed certain hot girls while still in high school (and going on to say they look really washed up now), which hot girls they watched in porn, which hot girls he asked out and arranged to meet up with behind my back, which hot girls they lusted over while in yoga class, going on about how his female friend who he met up with without telling me has a butt like a 'peach' (and today he insists he still can meet up with her, because they are just 'friends') list goes on and on. So THIS is what guys talk about when girls aren't around. That and freaking football. Are men really that dense in general? This guy is 34. I actually thought that by going out with a much older guy, he'd be more likely to be romantic and settle down. But nooo. God, the whole situation pisses me off. I'm so lonely and sad : (

Re-read what I wrote. I'm saying US Catholics use birth control MORE than Latin American Catholics. This is pretty well-known. 95% of Catholic women in the U.S. use birth control. You appear to be saying the opposite, unless I'm really misunderstanding you.

Hardly. Quite the opposite. Middle and upper middle class Catholics tend to have 1-to-3 children, not unlike middle and upper middle class Americans of other religions. Working-Class Hispanic families are considerably larger on average, at least where I've lived (New Mexico, Texas, and a Mexican-American neighborhood in Chicago).

I bet they most often just like the attention and thrill, and get sort of addicted to it, they probably don't care about the sex as much. Idk. Maybe I am an odd one out among the young woman crowd, in not being able to enjoy sex with someone I don't care about.

Yes, it will increase.. however it will also drop coming up too because of how far the birthrates have been cut. You're not really disproving me or showing that I don't know what I'm talking about.

your guy is a tool. i didn't even see this kind of behavior in my frat days. to be honest with you, i think you should consider yourself lucky you discovered it. just get home soon. and your thoughts about older guys is a reasonable. but you had to have suspected something unless he spoke a different language (french?) because it's easier to dupe someone with a different cultural background.

you will recover and will do fine, promise.
