A bully, or subservience, in either gender in any human relationship is not good. My wife and I certainly do not have a perfect marriage simply because both of us are human. We simply were lucky to have found one another some 45 years ago. Actually we both believe our meeting was due to something much greater than luck but that is for another discussion. Anyway, not many days have gone by in the past 41 years (42 in January) that we have not mentioned our love for the other.

Actually, I probably should have stayed away from any discussions of human relationships. I've been on C-D for several years now but I fear there is growing language and cultural barrier that exists between my generation and the younger generations here on C-D. I never meant to imply that leadership in a marriage was anything more than one steering wheel in a car.

I laugh aloud when I hear the term: power behind the throne. No such thing! Better put: power ahead of the throne!

Recently, unknowingly, Obama was caught speaking into a microphone, and when asked if he still smoked, he said: I haven't smoked in 6 years because I'm scared of my wife, who he also refers to as The Boss, just like Harry Truman called his wife!

My sister insists that her husband makes all the decsions in that marriage. And I love to ask her that question, over and over and over again, why? Because I laugh myself silly everytime I hear her answer! With her geisha-like ways, it's all indirect control, where he doesn't even know what's happening!

Now that is funny but not surprisingly both men are and were Democrats as are their wives. Attila the Hun would have been scared of Michelle.
