My initial response to your inquiry: you guys have a very strong marriage, period! Not only was he willing to divulge to you that he was uncomfortable about a VERY touchy subject with men (it's immasculating to do what you did), but also that you guys agreed to discuss it in what I assume was a fairly level-headed discussion. It sounds to me like you guys have most of what it takes to survive marriage: communication. Congrats -- you'll figure this out, along with anything else that life throws you as long as you remain open and honest!

I don't think you should have offered the info that he was a virgin when you met. It is one thing when a woman is a virgin well into adulthood, but it is even more awkward when it is a man. I understand him being upset.

If I were your husband I would be very up set that my wife has a big mouth that she can't keep shut. His sex life is no one else's business. He took you into his confidence when he discussed his past life with you because he thought he could trust you to keep the info to yourself. If I were him I would find someone else to share confidences with, you wouldn't get a second chance.

I would laughed and fired right back, disclosing something so personal about my wife, she probably would leave the room crying. Hey, we're amongst friends.

OP you were 100% wrong! That's wasnt your information to share and it's a really personal topic. I would be pissed at you too. You should apologise and make it up to him. Never ever do it again. Keep your month closed in future

I wouldn't do that because you create an atmosphere and it makes you look bad. I don't get even I get one better, so I'd wait until I got home and made his next month one he wouldn't forget

You should have never told anyone about his sexual experience, now I'm sure he feels emasculated.
