Regarding the last part that only works for men who live alone where the concept of having your on room is moot. If you have a spouse and kids there is no such thing as going undisturbed, even when you're on the toilet ime.

ill watch the kids while she goes and has her "alone time" to just relax and be human and she does the same back for me.
its possible to still enjoy your "space" and have all these things going on in your life.
