Okay, so I'm in sort of a sticky situation here. There is a couple I know, let's called the boy X and the girl Y. X has been lying to the girl (Y) who is convinced that she knows when he is lying by "the tone of his voice". But it is pretty obvious that X is lying, for example he made a bogus Facebook account posing as a Japanss girl moving to Fort Lauderdale for no apparent reason "Tosha Willeums" (sic) and the pictures don't even match, nor is in any way the name of Japanese origin. Despite many people telling Y (the girl) that X is a two face, she is still convinced that he is not lying. How do I convince her that he is lying to prevent hurt feelings?

The answer? Say your piece to the girl and then stay the hell out of it. Both are idiots and you really don't want to be between the two of them.

What is your attachment to the girl? Are you trying to convince her so she'll break up with X?

Why get involved? What is your relationship to X and Y? We need mroe information because otherwise my advice is to let them find out for themselves that they're both morons.

I am Y's good friend. No, I have no interest in dating her. Don't want her to get hurt when she finds out "the love of her life" has been lying to her all along.

Because the longer this lying relationship goes on, the more Y will be hurt in the end....

Sure you don't

If she's already been told then let her figure it out.
