Funny - I actually AM cooking and baking up a storm tonight! Although most of it isn't for my hubby...
My husband and I actually like being in the same room together the majority of the time - so I can't imagine either one of us wanting a man cave. We lived in a studio apartment together for years - so obviously we really, really like each other!
I built my man cave if you want to call it that and I relegate myself to it. It has my computer, my home theater sound system, my big screen TV, my Xbox 360, my pool table, my card table and my favorite item of the lot which is my Kirby vacuum cleaner. I love it and the missus loves to nag me and pull me out of it. I love the solitude and peace that the room gives me. I converted my old car parts storage room for my cave. She didn't like the idea at all but I couldn't be arsed what she thinks. I'm spending my money on a room that was mine from the start. She had her room already for her arts.
Do you find the whole concept of women relegating men to the "man cave" section of their own homes offensive?
What if you were the one that primarily bought the home with a hefty downpayment you saved up and you made primarily most of the income that enabled both of you to buy the home in the first place and then your woman says "don't worry I am going to let you have a man cave", like she has to give permission! How would you react?
Dude, you really need to learn how to pick your fights a bit better.
