This is really no groundbreaking news, this is why escorts advertise out in the open but say you are paying for time and companionship and not sex. Its not until you offer $50 for such and such act it becomes illegal.
REally prostitution should just be legalized anyway. Most other countries it is. Also you point out how ridiculous laws are. Its okay to pay a women for sex for porn and entertainment purposes but not for pleasure. I can go to a strip club and pay a women to get naked and grind on me but I can't touch her. I can pay for a massage where they massage my entire body and within centimeters of my genitals but the second they touch them its a crime. or the sugar daddy example. It shows how stupid and hypocritical our laws our for a victimless crime
I think prostitution should be legal and regulated like any other services commerce, obviously with age and consent requirements. All else is consumer risk.
I'd like to run an erotic business for women to entertain and accompany men at social functions and such. It could be lucrative with the right clients in the right locations.
An escort in an nutshell is an prostitute the fact they are paid to go out with you ( the original term for prostitute that is outdated ) Basically a woman or any woman who goes out with men, for interest of doing favors is thus taking part in prostitution. That is in general 99% of women. It becomes illegal when money starts being involved.

Originally BC years ( and even nowadays ) when prostitution began ( Egypt and so forth ) when men wanted to have women to talk with. Something we take for granted nowadays. Usually sex was for wives; and that is what women were for. An Escort basically does the same exact things. Pretend to be interested in all your crap, and dresses up as if they are your date.
When it comes to sex that is between the two people of social engagement who are associating without the concern for money. So it is not really the sex it is the money ( the unverified movement of money without going thru taxes ).
In fact they have this stupid dating service where people go out with each other in exchange for services or goods ( bartering ). Some of these services have people who do not know how to go out on dates and they get info and are basically told what to do on dates and how to do. I see these people all the time in busy areas.
An escort is an host/hostest who is not expected to have any sex at all; but naughty playfulness and so forth is something to be enjoyed. An escort is somebody you can get close to without having any fear ( rejection/hate/society/law) at all involved.
People pay escorts money because they are that lonely and do not want to look like losers. Take Mike Tyson and all those Blonde girls you see him with over the years. Even OJ Simpson ( while around ) is doing just damn fine. That is what an escort is basically. They hang off men to make them look complete; like an walking piece of jewlery that complements them. The same with male escorts for women.
Chances are a man/woman will ask you to go somewhere for the companionship of the opposite sex. That is what escorts are in general. People to be companions when people go outside. Like having mommy or daddy out with you but you can be closer then mommy or daddy.
Anoter way to look at an escort is an higher class then prostitute. Because they are getting paid to just "look like you have sex with them". Like if I had my wife or girlfriend and she is super "Smoking hotttttt". Everybody looks and her and says

Striking up a conversation with a girl and forming a genuine connection is just too easy. Human interaction is a basic life skill that anyone can naturally develop.

Which is not that different from having a guy buy a girl a drink so she can stay with him for a few minutes of conversation or take a girl out to dinner. Unless the girl is totally fine getting the guy a drink, getting her own, chipping in when the dinner check arrives to the table (even on the first date), and so on. In one way or the other, technically, a guy will end up paying for sex. As for prostitution, I can’t see myself either paying one for sex. Sure, they will be more skilled in the arts of seduction, sex, more open minded, etc. than your typical girlfriend or wife but I rather have that connection that involves love, intimacy, affection, companionship, etc. Personally, I would feel a bit empty with a prostitute or escort. I was offered sex with a prostitute/dancer while on vacation in an island in Thailand. Young slender attractive woman that simply liked me I guess and the sex was right there available for me FOR FREE (didn’t even had to buy her drinks, dinner, NOTHING). I just didn’t move forward with that chance. Long story but that’s how it is.
