So what do you do when you meet someone when you're not looking? (date, women)

I'm at a phrase where I feel like I need to work on myself and the circumstances where I keep meeting guys just don't seem ideal. So what do you do? Do you go for it? Do you say: hey, lets keep in touch and call me back in half a year?
