This whole thread is disturbing and sad. Do you realize that the divorce rate in this country is like 50%? Maybe everyone should pay more attention to their own relationships instead of griping about everyone they see in the street.
I'm single (always have been -- never been married). I will consider myself very lucky to find someone to marry...no matter what his race. This has nothing to do with self-esteem, but with the rarity of young people who go into relationships with the right expectations.
Different strokes for different folks.

It is disturbing and sad, but food for thought. I actually welcome everyone's opinion because it tells me a lot about each person and expands my knowledge base. This can be insightful when one considers where they live, what nationality they are, what stereotypes are perpetuated. Food for thought.
As for you, I wish you luck in finding that person. Sounds like you already have a healthy approach to it.

In this country, despite the ignorant stereotypes, media bias, inability of many socially retarded foreigners and immigrants to rise about the hearsay and join the frey, and the fears perpetuated by other races, there are an incredible number of extraordinary black men in this country who these women are driven to. These men are intelligent, well-spoken, versatile, charismatic, athletic, and full of character, depth, and resolve. They are the finest of men, the highest of quality. They are very interesting people, and increasingly, the finest of women in this country, are flocking to them.
Hard for some to swallow, but this is reality.
I might add that if you read Magnum Mike's comment before this one, you will see an example of the types of guys these fine women are running away FROM.

Attraction is dependent on culture. However, culture is not dependent on skin color.
Sorry if I inadvertently "cut some of you down" but people who have a sense of humanity about them will see that quite clearly. Blanket stereotypes are false; because there is always an exception.
With that being said (and to show I'm really not trying to be elitist here), I'm a Black woman and it's been years since I ever even went on a date or entertained the idea of dating a Black man. But it has nothing to do with race; and everything to do with religion. I'm Jewish...and I would like my s/o to also be Jewish. Yes there are Black Jewish men out there....but they are really few and far between (especially if you are outside of Israel). Funny, but after I was released from the hospital I actually met two Black Jewish men; they were cousins. But they were babies and in college -- one was 18 and the other one was 19. That's a little too young for me (add on 6 or 7 years, and I might consider it). Go figure.
I wish there were a way for White people to live as a Black person for a year. I mean it's not like Black people wake up in the morning and let our skin color dictate every action and thought we have. And I have yet to meet a White man who is carrying a mirror around just to remind me, "Oh my gosh I'm a Black person so I just can not find you attractive! Oh yes, you are sooo alluring, but....but....well, I just have to leave you to my White female peers because our skin color doesn't match!"

That's an unfair assesment RomanInSF, if you're basing it solely on what you read in my message, well I can tell you that I'm basing what I wrote in my message on what I've heard from other females (mostly white) talking to each other, when I used to hang out at bars in the 1980's.
White, and African American females and others run away from men of all races for many reasons.

can i ask a divisive question "to" black men and woman without being ridiculed? okay here i go, if........god gave u a chance to be half black and half white, would u say "yes", or would say "no" and instead be full black? i know i know its a pointless question and if two ppl love one another then let nature take its course.
