I decided my goal this year is to run it. I just hope I can. If it's snowy and slippery, that might not be a good idea.

However, the hill is right off campus and my friend/coworker have been running on our lunch break, and we've run the hill several times. We know we can do it.
Isn't it great to see such progress! Good luck this morning....Stay WARM!!!!

I always liked it when I could complete an additional mile or 1/2 mile on my runs.
Now I'm huffin' and puffin' after a mile! LMAO

I was checking out my naked self in the mirror yesterday and I have gotten so flabby over the winter, kind of like a hibernating bear. No definition left in my arms and the legs look blubbery. I tried a few of my dresses on for the spring and I look like a sausage in them! Not to mention I hit my "oh shyt" number on the scale...LOL

Time to stop making excuses and hit the pavement. Getting new running shoes today and going out shortly after to take them for a test drive.

I am tempted. I'm close to saying screw it. I'll wait at the finish line.

With no training or conditioning I ran the 5k in 37:40. This was in crappy weather, too.

Beagle lady ran it in 39:50.

I was determined to run the whole thing and I did. I killed the big hill. :-)

It was 15 degrees with a 5 degree windchill at the finish line. The nice thing about the crappy weather was a lot of people stayed home so the route wasn't as crowded and there were no damn baby strollers to deal with. There's always a positive. LOL

Not too shabby...especially in those conditions!!

I went and got my running shoes...have to actually put them on my feet now and use them! lol
People are going to see me coming from a mile away with these new kicks! The fit is fantastic but they didn't have the other color (aqua with neon yellow trim) in my size. I guess that's the pitfalls of wearing a very common size.

Put your sunglasses on!
