My main thing I that I have sleep apnea and for every pound I have extra on me, it impacts my breathing, so I need to get that under control, and then next is aesthetics.... I don't want to be that "fat dude" anymore... I used to be a fairly handsome guy, this extra weight is not helping matters... sounds vain.. I don't mean it to... it's just that life is too short to waste.. you know.... I don't want any regrets... I don't want to waste a moment...........

Makes sense...I lost the weight because of diabetes (had it while pregnant). I didn't want to deal with that for the rest of my life so the weight loss was actually quite easy because I was so motivated.
However, the perks of looking decent in clothes has been nice.

Me too! I finally found a pair of boots that fit, which was very exciting. I think I will be living in tights this winter.
Tights sell out fast around these parts (probably because the season for them is so short). I got mine back in early Sept when they hit the stores...it's slim pickin's now.

We usually get one snow a year. Sometimes a flurry, sometimes a few inches. The biggest snow we've had since I was here was only about 4-6". Usually the "snow event" is around 2-3" and it melts pretty fast.
The temperatures are intermittent in the winter. It's been in the mid-70's in December, and it's snowed. All depends on the year. Typical is about mid-40's to 50's for that time of year.
It gets into the 30's for about 2 weeks in February but then by the end of March we are typically looking at high 60's/low 70's again.
