While men love their wives more ?
I saw it in a ted talk by a woman who researched love with mri scans
Research has also shown that men take way longer to fall out of love in the occurrence of a break up, while it happens much faster in women

what does mri scans mean: they've shown a number of husbands and wives pictures of their partners and children and looked at the reactions ^^

Helen E. Fisher is an American anthropologist and human behavior researcher. I think she has written lot of books too.

I have seen all of Helen Fishers TED talks (she's amazing, btw). I don't recall any part about women loving their kids more and men loving their wives more.

What I have seen commonly is that couples who aren't in love with each other, love their kids more than their spouse. That's both husbands and wives, to stress the point.

In some bad instances, the husband loves neither the wife, nor the kids.

You must have missed that one because i have seen it. She actually did MRI scan and captured the reactions.
And anyway. I find her results completely TRUE.

Depends on the woman.

I think a more self-interested woman would pick her husband.

I think a more altruistic woman would pick her son.

For example, I think my mother would choose me over my father if only one of us could live. While my father provides her with conversation, companionship and support, I hypothetically have many more years to live (and further screw up my life) and he has already lived a lot of his life.

It's like the Pigman riddle. Anybody remember that book?

What is the riddle in the Pigman book

Can you provide a link to the TED talk?

You are her son and an unmarried man, if I've assessed correctly, so you like that she's made this choice. If you were a husband, you might not like that she's made this choice.

No. I think my father would pick me too. They're both very selfless people. You should see what they paid for our college tuition.
