I am just wondering if you think its possible to date someone when you have very strong feelings of jealousy when around that person.

Doesn't sound like a healthy situation at all in which to get yourself involved in.

there is a woman at my job who has been interested in a relationship with me for 9 years. her jealousy and mixed emotions toward me yet her interest in me are totally baffling and sickening.

Jealousy can ruin a relationship, but only if it leads to resentment. My ex wife was extremely jealous of the fact that I loved my job and she hated hers. There were other issues as well, but her resenting my happiness was a huge one.

My girlfriend now is also slightly jealous of some of my job perks(such as summers off), but she sees it as an opportunity rather than a zero sum game for happiness.

I don't know why I'd be jealous of anyone especially not a man?

You'd be better off using your feelings as an opportunity for personal growth. Ask yourself why you are feeling so jealous.
