and dating.

Where do you stand on pursuing someone with body modification (tattoos, piercings, etc.)?

I have a lot of tattoos (24 and counting) and some piercings. I know there are some put off by such, but I've never experienced it first hand no matter where I was located (VA, NC, GA and CA). Of the several dozen men I have gone out with only a handful had tattoos and/or piercings. I have often ended up with seemingly straight-laced men who are really into "edgy" or "alternative" looks. I do greatly appreciate well done body art, but rarely come across another who is moderately or heavily inked that I am genuinely compatible with.

Piercings? it depends on where they are located.

Not into tattoos though.

Personally, I don't care for either, but I know plenty of guys who LOVE tattoos. I wouldn't call them a "majority" of men, but enough where I don't suspect it would be a problem.

If you follow the polls here you will find the majority of men here are put off by a women with a lot of body art.

Personally, about 1/2 the women I have dated have had tatoos and just a couple had piercings in naughty places. Never dated any one with full sleeves but I wouldn't object to it. I have none myself.

Here's a recent one

Poll: Tattoos

Looks like mostly negative because of placement. Apparently if you want to be viewed poorly get a tittat

Poll: Do you like tattoos on her clevage?

A couple small discrete tats are ok. Not a big fan of piercing and body modifications in general, but I have a live and let live approach, as I don't have traditional "looks" myself, so I can't be throwing too many stones about....

I got my belly button pierced a long time ago. Many guys love it. I don't have tattoos, but I like tattoos that are tastefully done. I especially love small tattoo on toned arms.

In terms of attraction, I don't care if someone I date has them or not.

Where I live, it's rare to see someone under 40 without body mods. Having them is a bit too conformist for me, but if they are open and flexible in other areas of life I am willing to look past it.

I don't care either way as long as the art is well done and well thought out. No tattoos of aliens and pot leaves done while in jail please.

I have a full sleeve and my guy doesn't have any tattoos at all. He seems fairly neutral about them, but I do keep them covered when I'm around his work colleagues.

Some men and women don't look bad in them. I'm a big girl so unless they are tiny won't look good. I have heavy friends with tats and they look like hell.
