No, you should wear what's appropriate for the occasion and venue. VERY few restaurants require coat and tie.

Your behavior will prove your maturity, not your clothes.

Are you nuts? Absolutely NOT. Clean up, as in shower, shave, dont douse yourself in cologne, a nice pair of jean, casual shoe and button up shirt and you're good to go. Your appearance is a statement, your behavior on the other hand determines your maturity level

Trying to appear more "mature" to someone who is only two years older would only be an issue for someone who is 15 or younger. How old are you?

Do you think of a woman two years younger than you as super-young, so that you have to change yourself to date her?

She thinks of you the way you think of a woman two years younger -- as being in the same age group as hers.

I am a sucker for a man in a nice suit. It makes me want to rip it off him and drag him around by his tie.

If a suit is good, then a tuxedo is even better. I suggest you wear one on the date.

Like others have said, depends where you are going. Are you going to a black tie event? Going on a cruise? A formal? Are you going to an Opera? Are you super rich?

If not just wear slacks or dress pants and a button down coller shirt. Some men just were a polo and jeans if its more dressed down.Wear colors that flatter you and colors that are calming greens and blues. Many wear navy blue or black.
