0 to 3 or 4 times a day. I work out in the sticks about 60 airmiles from her location for 2 week intervals, so phone or e-mail is our only option those two weeks.
Most folks have cell phones these days with text messaging or some kind of messaging service so staying connected with your significant other is pretty easy. With that in mind, how often do you stay in touch with your partner? Do you still send each other little messages while you are at work? Once a day? How frequent? Do you not send messages at all or maybe only send informative messages?
We usually work together but when we don't we will call each other every couple of hours to say hi.
just about daily, and usually when it does occur, it's multiple times throughout the day. He's just as bad as I am, though
The only time we don't chat is when I'm working an overnight shift. He tends to go to bed early. And if I get off (like I just did at 2am), then he's clearly asleep.
Calling him my "partner" might be a bit strong. We are currently dating and it's a long distance relationship. We see each other for a weekend roughly every 4-6 weeks. Sometimes we see each other for a week at a time or go on a trip together. We text or message every day. Some days 4-5 times, some days just once. We call about once a week and talk for over an hour. I also send him snail mail letters and care packages.
I can't believe what I've read so far. How many of you see, talk face to face with, or even touch, your "partner" on a daily basis?
I'm all over her 24/7 when she's at home, except when a good football game is on. I've become far more clingy as I've gotten older with deteriorating health, but she likes that ok.
During my work day, my cellphone is in my pocket with both the ringer and vibrate function completely off. During my breaks I will glance at it. I wear a wristwatch, so I have no need to use my cellphone as a timepiece (unlike most of my co-workers).
My boyfriend and I might send each other one text in the middle of the day, but only if we actually need to communicate some important piece of information. We never text or chat frivolously. Otherwise, we wait until evening to talk, preferably in person.
I really hate co-workers sneaking texts with friends. That's extremely unprofessional.
Maybe two or three times a day during work hours. Can be as low as zero though. He'll call me if he is going to be late coming home.
I had a co-worker whose wife would call him about every 20 minutes all day everyday. Lady seriously needed a hobby if she didn't have a job.
